Hickory Creek is stocked with rainbow trout to provide an urban coldwater fishery in the City of Neosho's Morse Park. The stream is stocked five times annually and maintains a good rainbow trout fishery all year long. Rainbow trout between 12 and 15 inches were captured in the fall 2022 survey. Rock bass (goggle-eye) numbers and sizes have been very good during recent surveys with numerous fish over the statewide minimum length of 7 inches observed. Approximately 2 miles of stream flow through the park. There are two ADA accessible fishing platforms on the stream. There is a catch-and-release season from November 1 through the last day of February. From March 1 through October 31, statewide White Ribbon stream regulations apply.
