Purpose

This rule establishes a special permit required in addition to the Commercial Fishing Permit for residents of the state to harvest shovelnose sturgeon from the Missouri River.

Summary:

This amendment increases the fee for a Resident Roe Fish Commercial Harvest Permit to reflect a more current cost adjustment based on changes in the Consumer Price Index.

Proposed Amendment

Required in addition to the Commercial Fishing Permit to take, possess, and sell bowfin, paddlefish, and shovelnose sturgeon and their eggs from the Mississippi River in accordance with 3 CSR 10-10.725. Fee: [Five hundred dollars ($500)]five hundred forty-two dollars ($542).

PUBLIC ENTITY COST: This proposed amendment will not cost state agencies or political subdivisions more than five hundred dollars ($500) in the aggregate.

PRIVATE ENTITY COST: This proposed amendment will not cost private entities more than five hundred dollars ($500) in the aggregate.
