SPANISH LAKE, Mo.—The Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Columbia Bottom Conservation Area visitor center will be closed this Saturday, Sept. 16. The visitor center will resume normal operating hours Sunday, Sept. 17.
The temporary closure applies to the building only. The rest of the area, including the boat ramp, canoe/kayak access, hiking/biking trail and Confluence view platform will remain open. All other public use permitted by area regulations, including hunting and fishing, will not be impacted.
The visitor center’s regular operating hours are Wednesday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Columbia Bottom Conservation Area is located at 801 Strodtman Road in Spanish Lake, approximately three miles of the I-270/Riverview Drive Exit.
