WINONA, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation’s Twin Pines Conservation Education Center will host wildlife photographer Matt Miles Saturday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. The hour-long program is titled “Behind the Lens” and focuses on the photographer’s recent publication: Missouri, Wild and Wonderful.
Miles, from Rogersville, will describe many of the remarkable wildlife and nature photographs featured in his new book: Missouri, Wild and Wonderful. From bluebirds and black bears to prairies and Ozark streams, the book contains stunning images captured over a period of 20 years, and also includes fascinating facts about nature.
“Matt's photos are remarkable,” said Skyler Bockman, manager of the center. “We’re excited to visit with him and learn about his experiences out in the field as a wildlife photographer.”
Miles will describe many of his remarkable wildlife and nature photos featured in his book and offer details of the work leading up to his new book, as well as tips for aspiring photographers. An opportunity to purchase signed copies of the book will follow the presentation.
