SPRINGFIELD Mo -- The Springfield Conservation Nature Center’s Nature and the Arts series continues 7-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, with “An Evening with Carter and Connelley.” This free program will feature the music of Curt Carter and Tom Connelley, a singer-songwriting duo who have been performing and recording acoustic guitar music together since 1988.
Their music – ranging from rock to bluegrass – combines with spoken interludes in which the musicians speak about their love of the land and of family. Carter and Connelley are educators who share both a passion and knowledge about nature and conservation. They call it “environmental music with a message.”
This program is for ages 8 years and older and registration is required. To register or for more information, call 417-888-4237.
