St. Joseph, Mo. – Road maintenance will close a portion of James McCarthy Drive in St. Joseph that is often used to reach the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Northwest Regional Office. The office is on the campus of Missouri Western State University at 701 James McCarthy Drive.
Visitors can still drive to the MDC office. But they will need to access the campus from one of the three entrances off Mitchell Avenue and circle on Downs Drive to James McCarthy Drive.
Access from the north off Faraon Street was closed June 8 and is not scheduled to reopen for normal travel until Monday, June 21.
