WILDWOOD, Mo.—September is migration season for many birds, which makes it an ideal time for avian enthusiasts to go birding and hiking in Missouri. The Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Rockwoods Reservation in Wildwood is an excellent destination for both activities. Lingering warmer temperatures and a slight shift toward the fall colors to come make taking to the trails a real pleasure.
MDC is offering two programs at Rockwoods on Monday, Sept. 14 focused on birding and hiking. Participants can attend either or both programs. Preregistration is required for each program separately using the links provided.
Rockwoods Reservation is located at 2751 Glencoe Road, off Highway 109 between I-44 and Highway 100.
