St. Joseph – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) recently welcomed Jada Tressler as a staff naturalist serving the state’s northwest region. Tressler will be based at MDC’s Northwest Regional Office in St. Joseph.
MDC connects people with nature. Tressler’s duties will include presenting nature programs at the Regional Office, doing presentations at schools, speaking to classes at Missouri Western State University, and assisting with special regional events such as Eagle Days. A native of Granby, Mo., she is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville with a major in wildlife management and conservation.
Tressler will be assisting with the Arbor Day celebration 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 30, at the Northwest Regional Office, 701 James McCarthy Drive, St. Joseph. The event will include crafts, a chance for youngsters to meet Smokey Bear, and free tree seedlings.
