MDC, partners to host native forage workshop June 23 in Truxton

TRUXTON, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is partnering with the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), MFA Incorporated, and the Soil and Water Conservation Society to host a native forage workshop Thursday, June 23 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. The event will be held at Cope Farms Inc. located at 589 Highway E in Truxton.

Topics discussed during the program include Cope Farm’s history, establishment of native forages, grazing cattle and sheep on native forages, calibrating drills and sprayers, cost-share programs, and more.

Water will be provided. All discussions will be held outside, so participants should dress accordingly.
