SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The combination of falling snow, hazardous driving conditions, and unseasonably cold temperatures have forced the closure of all Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) offices in the southwest part of the state. This closure, which is effective at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday, Feb. 18), includes MDC’s Southwest Regional Office in Springfield as well as MDC’s Springfield Conservation Nature Center, the Andy Dalton Shooting Range and Outdoor Education Center, the Shoal Creek Conservation Education Center and the Shepherd of the Hills Conservation Education Center.
