Kansas City, Mo. – Wild turkey hunters are passionate because the sport connects them with nature as forests and woodlands come alive in spring. They enjoy the excitement of tom turkeys gobbling and the chance to bag a game bird that makes tasty table fare. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is offering free workshops in the Kansas City area to help hunters new to the sport get started. Experienced hunters can also learn new tactics to increase success.

The Burr Oak Woods Nature Center in Blue Springs will offer an introduction to turkey hunting 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 10.
