Kansas City, Mo. – Enjoy nature’s creatures, sights and sounds when the Anita G. Gorman Discovery Center’s outdoor garden paths become lined with HOWLoween fun 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20. This free Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) event welcomes all ages for an autumn night outdoors.

Visitors can explore nature stations with HOWLoween themes including birds of prey displays, Track or Treat, the Bone Yard, the Bat Cave, games and crafts. A campfire with s’mores and acoustic music will welcome attendees. Also, the center’s outdoor garden offers prairie, woodland and wetland areas with native plants and trees in their autumn colors. Visitors can also see indoor nature exhibits.

The Gorman Discovery Center at 4750 Troost Ave. is just a few blocks east of the Country Club Plaza. MDC connects people with nature in the heart of Kansas City.
