MDC offers free Discover Nature — Girls Camp
St. Joseph, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will host a free Discover Nature — Girls Camp July 11-13 at Mozingo Lake near Maryville. The three-day, two-night camp for girls ages 11-15 will teach outdoor skills such as archery, shotgun shooting, fishing, canoeing and more.
This camp is a wonderful way for girls to learn new outdoor skills and enjoy the camaraderie in a camp experience. MDC experts will teach skill sessions to help girls learn in a supportive environment. Participants will gain the confidence and skills to explore Missouri’s diverse outdoors. They will also become Hunter Education certified.
Registration is required and availability is limited. MDC is also seeking volunteer adult chaperones for the camp.
