COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will offer a free workshop on calling coyotes and other predators Feb. 15. The workshop will take place 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the MDC Central Region Office located at 3500 East Gans Road in Columbia.
MDC staff will teach techniques and strategies to bring coyotes and other predators into gun range. Topics covered will include limits and regulations, electronic callers, setting up, camouflage, firearms selection, and scent control.
“Predator hunting allows hunters to get outside and enjoy our Missouri outdoors at a time when many other seasons are closed,” said MDC Outdoor Skills Specialist Brian Flowers.
This free workshop is open to adults and youth at least 11 years old. Participants must register by Feb. 10 by contacting Brian Flowers at brian.flowers@mdc.mo.gov or (573) 815-7901 ext. 2867.
