MARCELINE Mo -- The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will offer a white-tailed deer management workshop 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Walsworth Community Building in Marceline, 124 E. Ritchie Ave.
The workshop is free and open to anyone interested in deer management. The discussion will be useful for landowners, managers or hunters who wish to enhance deer herd health and habitat on properties.

Topics will also include managing native vegetation and food plots to provide high-quality food and cover for deer, cost share programs for habitat improvement, cooperation between property managers for wildlife habitat and setting realistic goals and expectations for deer management.
