JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Are you curious about how plants and animals react to seasonal changes? What is blooming, croaking, chirping, and singing outside during different seasons? The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is hosting six sessions of Phenomenal Phenology!, a virtual workshop for teachers to discuss phenology, or the study of seasonal patterns. This workshop is intended for teachers to come together and explore the seasonality of nature in order to bring that knowledge back to students in their classrooms.
The same workshop will be held six times in an effort to accommodate teachers’ limited and varied schedules. Registration is required for the chosen session and must be done at least a week in advance so study material can be emailed ahead of time. Though the content will be the same, participants can join for partial sessions, or attend multiple sessions, as desired.
