CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center will host Wild Heart in concert this Friday, May 6 at 7 p.m. Sara Turner, manager of the center, said the musical group never fails to provide a memorable event for families to enjoy.

“Wild Heart has become an annual staple for our summer program schedule,” Turner said. “They bring an enthusiasm for nature that our community loves to enjoy time and time again.”

Turner said the hour-long concert will help children consider nature’s super heroes with the Emmy® Award winning singers and songwriters, Jan and George Syrigos. Their songs highlight the “super powers” of mild-mannered wild animals that can be seen in local backyards.

“We see kids that love to sing along with these songs, like Nature’s Super Heroes, grooving to new moves and joining in on the adventure,” Turner said. “We hope families will join us to bring the heart of the wild to the hearts of their children.”

Turner said the concert will be outdoors unless it’s moved inside for inclement weather. Youth and adult groups are welcome to attend. No registration is needed for this event.

The Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center is located within Cape County Park North near the intersection of Kings Highway and I-55. More information on this and other programs at the center can be found at mdc.mo.gov/CapeNatureCenter.
