St. Joseph, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) has cancelled a scheduled ice fishing workshop for Saturday, Jan. 30, at Happy Holler Lake Conservation Area in Andrew County. This workshop is dependent on weather conditions. Warm temperatures forecasted by the National Weather Service could create poor ice conditions for anglers at the northwest Missouri lake.
MDC will reschedule the workshop at a later date if weather conditions create safe ice, said Tory Mason, MDC fisheries management biologist.
