St. Joseph, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) has assigned Griffin Surtin as a conservation agent serving in Linn County. Surtin grew up in O’Fallon, Mo., and graduated with a degree in criminal justice from Lindenwood University.
“I am looking forward to creating positive relationships throughout the community,” Surtin said, adding that he enjoys exploring the county. “Linn County has a good mix of paved roads, gravel roads, and dirt roads. I can always find something to do. It has been a change in pace since I moved here, but I have come to enjoy Linn County.”
Surtin resides in Marceline. His hobbies including hunting, fishing, enjoying the outdoors, wood working, and riding his dirt bike.
