Maintz Wildlife Preserve to host archery event

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Maintz Wildlife Preserve will host a “Family Archery Shoot” put on by The On Target Archers, a local chapter of the Christian Bowhunters of America.

The Family Archery Shoot is open to all ages and will be held Saturday, April 2, from 9 am to 1 pm.

The On Target Archers have partnered with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) in upgrading and maintaining the archery range at Maintz Wildlife Preserve.

Local archery group improves Maintz Archery Range

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – A local archery range is sporting major improvements thanks to the On Target Archers, a local chapter of the Christian Bowhunters of America. The group partnered with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) to upgrade the archery range at Maintz Wildlife Preserve by installing seven new targets and repairing six existing targets. The group also helps maintain the range on a monthly basis keeping targets in working order and the trail passable to foot traffic.
