COLUMBIA, Mo. – What creatures are lurking outside at night? How do you identify them? How can you find them? Find answers to these questions and more at the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Nature School After Dark event on Oct. 30 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Boone County Nature School.
This family-friendly event is open to all ages and will consist of storytelling around the campfire, guided night hikes, s’mores over a campfire, a snake station, and more! Each station offers participants the opportunity to explore nocturnal life in Missouri while learning about the animals that thrive under the cover of darkness.
