ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) and its partners are delaying the start of Eagle Days at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge Festival this weekend due to winter weather advisories. The event will begin at noon on Saturday, Jan. 19, and run until 3 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, rain on Friday will give way to snow overnight and continue through Saturday, possibly creating difficult road conditions early on Saturday.

Eagle Days will be open for its original scheduled activities from 9 a.m.-3p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20.

For the latest updates, go to http://greatriversgreenway.org/eagledays/. Any additional schedule changes will be posted to this page as they become available. Visitors are urged to use discretion when driving and not to venture out if they feel road conditions are too hazardous. Those who attend should also dress for the snow and cold.

Eagle Days at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge is produced through a partnership between MDC, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and Great Rivers Greenway. It is one of the St. Louis area’s premiere bald eagle watching festivals. The free event takes place annually at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge in north St. Louis, off Riverview Boulevard, just south of I-270.
