Description

This program is part of our year-long Wild Edible Plants series, with each month highlighting a different plant part or type of wild edible. The series emphasizes conservation, respectful harvesting, and building a meaningful connection to the land. Participants will build confidence in understanding when, where, and how wild plants can be used as a sustainable food source.

In this program, we’ll focus on Missouri’s edible nuts from the hickory to the pecan to the... acorn?? November is the best time to harvest these abundant, nutritious morsels just in time to make your Thanksgiving recipes! This program will include an indoor presentation and cooking a sample recipe together as a class.

This program is for ages 8+. Please register EACH person who will be present. We will be both inside and outside, so please dress accordingly.
