WARRENTON, Mo.—The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will close the unstaffed shooting range at Reifsnider State Forest in Warren County for two days this week to conduct repair work. The range will be closed Thursday and Friday, Jan. 13-14. It will reopen for public use Saturday, Jan. 15.
The range’s normal hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 1/2 hour before sunrise until 1/2 hour after sunset. The range is closed Mondays until noon for routine maintenance, after which it is open for public use until 1/2 hour after sunset.
The Reifsnider range offers target distance from 25-100 yards for rifle and pistol shooters. There is no fee to use the range.
Reifsnider State Forest is located southeast of Warrenton. It can be reached by taking Route M east two and a half miles, then going three miles south on Schuetzenground Road.
