Employment-related Accommodations

Body

The Missouri Department of Conservation is committed to providing a workplace where all employees can work to their fullest potential. In doing so, the department provides assistance and support to employees who have disabilities that may affect their ability to perform the essential job functions as defined by the ADA. Employees shall not be discriminated or retaliated against for exercising their rights under this policy.

Prehiring

Any applicant with a disability may request an accommodation for their interview by either contacting the hiring supervisor, Human Resources recruitment specialist, or ADA Coordinator, or completing the Accommodation Request Form

All reasonable accommodations will be provided without inquiry into an applicant’s disability. The ADA prohibits all disability-related inquiries and medical examinations, even if they are related to the job, prior to an offer of employment.

Post-hiring

At any time during their tenure with the department, employees may request accommodation for a disability. Additional details can be found in the department’s Accommodations: Employee and Public Requests and Grievances policy, which is provided post-hire.
