Nature Lab at Work

As with all your issues for the past 50-plus years, I look forward to each month, anxious to see what you will treat us with next, and I’m always pleased. I particularly enjoyed Nature Lab at Work [Page 4] in the August 2026 issue. It provided valuable insight into the efforts of MDC staff to help us work together with our wildlife. Additionally, as a retired teacher, I appreciate the notation of Mr. DeBold’s education. It gives us a glimpse of his path to achieve his current assignment within MDC and provides focus for those aspiring to someday work in the nature management industry. Well done!

I saw the Editors’ Note in the August 2026 magazine about AI use [Page 3]. Well stated! Thank you so much for not using AI. It’s a breath of fresh air, so to speak, when so many organizations are choosing to use it.
