If you live in or near St. Louis or Kansas City, there are several fishing options including lakes that are stocked with fish during the year. 


St. louis has 17 urban lakes throughout the city and county.  These lakes are stocked with channel catfish from march through September, and with trout at selected times throughout the winter. Check the St. Louis Fish Stocking hotline at 636-300-9651.


Kansas City has 13 lakes throughout the area that are stocked with channel catfish from April through September and trout at selected times during winter. Check the Kansas City Fish Stocking hotline at 816-525-0300.
