SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- Just like the white-winged dove, mourning and Eurasian doves are among the three species that have made their home in Missouri and are legal to harvest beginning Sept. 1.
The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) invites the public to learn more about dove hunting and how to get started with MDC’s virtual Game Bird Hunting program from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug.20.
Dove hunting is very popular among Missourians, and getting started is as simple as finding a location where doves are congregating and feeding. Join MDC staff to learn helpful hunting tips and the gear needed to be successful.
All ages are welcome to attend, but advanced registration is required at http://short.mdc.mo.gov/oGh.
