VIENNA, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is hosting a pond management workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 13 in Vienna. The workshop is free, but space is limited and participants must pre-register by March 12.
The workshop will cover a wide variety of topics including pond site selection, pond construction, pond stocking, fisheries management, aquatic vegetation management, pond watershed management, and nuisance wildlife.
Professionals from MDC, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) will give presentations and will be available to answer questions. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
