SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will host Monarchs and More from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, in Springfield.
Join Volunteer Naturalist Dana Tideman at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center to learn about monarch butterfly conservation, citizen science opportunities, monarch life cycle, and how to rear and tag monarchs.

In Missouri, monarchs are found in a wide variety of habitats: fields and grasslands, roadsides, and urban and suburban plantings. They are famous for their annual migration to overwinter in Mexico.
