Warrenton, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will hold a Pond Management Workshop for landowners on Tuesday, April 30, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The workshop will take place at the Warren County Extension Center, 107 West Walton in Warrenton.
MDC aquatic resource experts will address a number of subjects related to creating and maintaining healthy ponds. Topics covered will include pond site selection, pond construction, fish stocking and management, aquatic vegetation management, watershed management and nuisance wildlife control.
The workshop is free and light refreshments will be offered. Advanced registration is required by calling 636-583-2303, extension 115. The deadline for registration is April 26.
The Pond Management Workshop is being organized by MDC’s Private Lands Division. This division works with Missouri landowners to sustain healthy fish, forests and wildlife on their property.
