Bison

On the back cover and right is a bison at Prairie State Park in Barton County by Noppadol Paothong. A small herd of about 100 bison live at the park. The bison were reintroduced but are considered a wild herd that freely grazes across the park. They reproduce naturally, and calves are born in May and June.
