Current River

image of Current RiverMissourians cherish their clear Ozarks streams, like the Current River in Carter County. The spring-fed rivers offer a wealth of recreational and scenic opportunities and serve as ribbons of premium wildlife habitat. Streamside forests anchor the river banks, preventing erosion. They also shade the water, keeping it cool and refreshing.
