This 102-acre lake was built in 1959 to serve as the cities water supply. Since the enrollment in the Community Assistance Program in 1986, the Missouri Conservation Department has added parking lots, a privy, concrete boat ramp,fishing docks,and access roads to the facilities. Brookfield City lake provides fishing opportunities for largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish. Channel catfish are stocked periodically by the Conservation Department. The lake is surrounded by parkland with picnic tables and a shelter house.This area is owned by the city.
