Knee High Naturalists - Wiggly Worms

Monday, March 7, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

They are small and simple, but earthworms are amazing! When they eat and move through the soil, they make it healthier for plants to grow in. That's why they are called a gardener's best friend. Come take a closer look at these wiggly worms! Knee High Naturalists programs are recommended for ages 3-5. Reservations are required by March 6 by calling 660-785-2420.

 

Creature Feature - Marsh Madness

Wednesday, March 9, 1 - 2 p.m.

Can you imagine living in a sponge? Marsh ecosystems are a little like a sponge and they play an important role in the environment. Learn more at this mucky marshy program. Creature Feature is recommended for ages 6-11. Reservations are required by March 8 by calling 660-785-2420.

 

Knee High Naturalists - Amazing Amphibians

Monday, March 21, 10:30 to 11:30 am

Both frogs and salamanders are amphibians. These amazing animals can live in the water or on dry ground and can even breathe through their skin! Come along as we discover more about amphibians! Knee High Naturalists programs are recommended for ages 3-5. Reservations are required by March 20 by calling 660-785-2420.

A terrific tale of conservation, Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax" explores the results of poor forest management and pollution. We'll read and discuss the story and enjoy a forest activity.
