Has your child ever uttered the statement, “I’m bored!”? Well, look no further! This two-day camp is full outdoor adventure fun and will be sure to cure them of their summer boredom. This year we'll be exploring the beautiful variety of habitats found in Missouri, and the animals that call these places home. Throughout the two days of camp, participants will explore Missouri’s habitats by foot, canoe, and jumping right in! A welcome email will be sent prior to the program with full details and a packing list. Snacks, safety, and all equipment are provided. Each child is only eligible for one Kids Camp session per year.

Registration required (adults) Grab your walking shoes and get outside with our urban hike through historic NE Kansas City. Covering roughly 2.5 miles, this moderately paced hike will utilize sidewalks to explore nature in this older neighborhood. During the hike we will discuss native & invasive plants, wildlife ID, hiking safety and other great urban hikes in KC. The instructor will e-mail the exact meeting location to participants the week prior to the hike. You will receive an e-mail from the instructor if weather conditions indicate a need to cancel the program. If accommodations are needed, please e-mail the instructor after registering and at least one week prior to the program.

A Missouri summer may be relaxing, but it’s hardly quiet! We’ll discuss who is singing during these summer months and learn about the animals around you. All ages. Registration required. The goal for this camp is building adventure skills and natural know-how. A welcome email will be sent prior to the program with full details and a packing list. Feel empowered, enjoy camaraderie and learn skills alongside native gardening experts and enthusiasts! All experience levels are welcome. This class is a 12-month program (June 2024-May 2025) that meets each month. You will learn simple, but beautiful embroidery techniques as we explore some of the most stunning and unique wildflowers native to Missouri.

By signing up, you are committing to attend all twelve of the monthly sessions so that you will be able to complete all 15 blocks for an entire quilt.

We will hit the trails and head down to the creek to see what’s happening in the water. Wear shoes that can get wet as we will be wading up to our knees to capture small creatures and have fun! ***Please note the changed time for this program.*** Conservation Kids is designed for kids ages 7-12 and their adult caregivers. Other aged siblings are welcome to attend as families will do activities together.
