SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – For families looking for somewhere to go the day after the Fourth of July, the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) wishes to remind everyone that MDC’s Springfield Conservation Nature Center will be open July 5.

The nature center will be on its regular summer schedule, which means the building will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the nature center’s trails will be open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. The Springfield Conservation Nature Center is located at 4601 S. Nature Center Way. For more information, call 417-888-4237.

MDC’s Andy Dalton Shooting Range and Outdoor Education Center near Ash Grove, the Shepherd of the Hills Conservation Center in Branson and the Shoal Creek Conservation Education Center in Joplin will be closed July 5.

All MDC offices will be closed July 4.
