Join MDC Naturalist, Andy Klingensmith, for a virtual hike as we explore and discover the natural wonders found throughout this unique conservation area. This program will touch on a range of ecology topics to deepen our appreciation of Missouri’s natural resources. Topics include plant and animal ID, natural history, ecological management, and conservation philosophy. Whether you’re a regular to Powder Valley, or someone looking for new hiking trails, join us as we discover the sights and sounds of Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center.

Fishing is a fun outdoor activity for all ages. Join MDC and Kirkwood Parks and Recreation to learn how to cast, tie knots, bait hooks, and identify your catch. This event is for beginners learning to fish or trying to improve skills. Family participation is highly encouraged.

This event will be held at Kirkwood Park 111 S Geyer Rd, Kirkwood, MO 63122

Anyone ages 16-64 wishing to fish or hold fishing poles will need a valid Missouri fishing permit.
