Inside a room filled with puzzles and games, your group will have 30 minutes to solve clues to learn about amazing Missouri creatures and their unique characteristics. If your group beats the clock, a prize awaits at the finish. Are you up for the challenge? Recommended for families, teens, and adults. Nature may sometimes seem creepy, but every creature has a job in the web of life. Search for the next clue to guide you on a unique exploration while meeting costumed and real life “creepy” critters at staffed stations along the trail. For this all-outdoor program, dress for the weather. Total walking distance is about one mile. Start at the Missouri Tree Trail trailhead to pick up a clue sheet to help you find your way. Staff will be at various stations with “creepy” critters and to help guide you.

No matter what age or experience you have, shotgun fundamentals are the foundation of shotgun shooting performance. Shooters shouldn't judge their wingshooting skills based on the result of the shot. If you can hit going away targets but not crossing targets you will find out just how gun fit, shotgun fit, dominant eye and shooting stance will effect your shot.

Participants must have some experience with shotgun shooting and preferably own a shotgun. Students who successfully complete this class will have the opportunity to register for shotgun instruction at Apple Creek Shooting Range at the conclusion of the classroom course.

Registration is required! Shotgun shooting is fun and exciting. If you want to learn about the shotgun fundamentals from the very beginning or improve your skill at skeet, trap or 5-stand, this One-on-One Shotgun Instruction course is for you! Our instructors will help you get started and work with you on the basics to prepare you for moving on to each discipline. To register or for more information, please call 816-249-3194. Come learn the basics of Dutch Oven cooking! You will learn about the history of Dutch Oven cooking, and how easy it is to make anything you would cook in your home oven in a Dutch Oven. All participants will have the opportunity to help prepare one of the dishes we will be making and try all the dishes at the end. Part of this program will be outside, so dress according to the weather.

We are strongly encouraging masks when indoors, and outdoors when social distancing is not possible.

This program is for individuals who are 18 years and older. Anyone who will be present must register.

The compass is an excellent tool to help you reach your destination, identify your location, and map your route. Learn how to do all three by joining us at Warrenton Pool Park Pavilion for this free orienteering program. Included will be a treasure hunt for free giveaways. This event will take place outdoors, so be sure to come prepared with proper footwear, clothing attire for gravel trails, and water.

All planning to attend the event should register separately. Children younger than sixteen years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

(Adults) Do you enjoy wildlife in your backyard, but struggle with some animals getting a little too close for comfort? Learn some tips and suggestions on how to avoid or stop nuisance wildlife from taking over your home, and about some of the common entry points that they use. This in person program will also cover methods, materials, and gear used in home exclusion. Mount replicas will be on hand to show some of the different types of wildlife that most commonly cause issues.
