Learn the steps necessary to process deer meat yourself. We will discuss the field dressing process and demonstrate how to skin and butcher a deer in simple easy steps with minimum equipment. You'll learn tips on how to make sure your venison is the best quality possible and the different cuts of meat including steaks and roasts.

Come spend a delightful fall afternoon hiking in Rockwoods Reservation. We will discuss why tree leaves change color. Hopefully we will be able to see and identify many beautiful trees as they show their fall colors. You will also see how “Wise Use” over the past 85 years has transformed Rockwoods into an amazingly beautiful place.

Participants should be able to do a 1 ½ mile hike with a 200-foot elevation gain.

Join Jake Hindman to learn how to attract deer closer to your position by making the right calls at the right time. He will discuss the different vocalizations whitetails make and what those sounds communicate to other deer. He will present several calling scenarios in hunting situations followed by a Q & A session.

Please sign up for one youth duck hunt only.This program and hunt is for youth, who has never hunted, and is interested in learning the skills needed to successfully hunt ducks. We will begin with a mandatory clinic on Tuesday, October 3rd from 5-7 p.m. to discuss safety, firearms, clothing, hunting techniques, and details of the hunt. All participants for the hunt must attend the mandatory clinic and be Hunter Education Certified to participate in the hunt on October 21st.

Join us for an 8.3 mile hike through the forests at the Weldon Spring Conservation Area. The Missouri River overlooks offer panoramic views of the floodplains and varying fall colors from the bottomland forests to the Oak, Hickory, and Maple forest on the high terrain of the river bluffs. Participants will meet at the Weldon Spring Conservation Area

Lewis and Clark Trail Head. Please dress for the weather and bring water, lunch, binoculars for bird viewing, and a camera.

Our Bee Build is just under 150 pieces, a fun and easy build even for our beginner master builders or junior entomologists.
