Are you looking for more outdoor opportunities for your scouts? Need help achieving some badge requirements? We will be hosting an afternoon of activities for both girl and boy scouts of all ages. Registration is required.

Pigeon Hill Archery Range will host an introductory lesson to archery for individuals 12 and up. Bows, arrows, and targets will be provided.

Join us for the first fishing event at Krug Park this summer! Bring your pole or bring a friend and fish with the Missouri Department of Conservation. Poles will be available, as will bait.

Think you need to drive miles away to find cool natural phenomenon? Think again! There's amazing natural events happening right here in town all year long. Let's explore them together on an evening nature hike at MARK YOUNGDAHL CONSERVATION AREA, south of Hillyard technical school on 36th Street in St. Joseph. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Date: Saturday, June 9, 2018 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

Location: Krug Park Lagoon

The Department of Conservation will have 32 poles available for anyone wanting to participate in this Free Fishing Event. Everyone is welcome regardless of age, skill or permits carried. Department staff will be onsite to assist fishermen and provide some bait and tackle. This is a free event.

Date: Thursday, July 5, 2018 - 5:30pm to 8:00pm

Location: Krug Park Lagoon

You must register online or by calling 816-271-3100. Registration opens June 1st. Derby is free to the public, but space is limited to 50 participants. Check-In starts at 5:30 and fishing begins at 6!

Date: Thursday, August 2, 2018 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm

This event will teach the public how to clean their catch, prepare it, and taste a few different types of fish. Space is limited to the first 30 registered!
