This will be the second Missouri Butterfly Monitoring Network training for the Kansas City area! Learn more about 25 beautiful, common species of butterflies, how surveys are conducted and complete one of the three requirements in order to do surveys. Link to virtual program will be sent by email prior to program.

Spring is here, and the toms are strutting. That can only mean one thing to some people; spring turkey season is here! For more than 50 years, Missourians have enjoyed pursuing these large elusive birds. Join us as we explore the basics of turkey hunting, including locations, equipment, techniques and more. Meet at the W. Robert Aylward Educational Pond.

Did you know that you can create delightful natural teas from leaves collected just outside your door? Come in and enjoy a cup of tea as you learn how to identify, harvest and dry these delicious leaves for later use.

Magical moments in nature are waiting for you! Go on an adventure with a Naturalist to make amazing discoveries as you explore on a trail close to the nature center.
Notes: Dress for the weather. Program will be all outdoors, weather permitting. If it is very cold and/or there is more than light rain program will be cancelled.
