Join a volunteer naturalist in the outdoor staging area to experience some of the sights and sounds at Runge in the early morning. Then, at your own pace, we take to the trails (approximately 1.3-2 miles) for some fresh air, exercise, and nature. It's a great way to start your day!

Archery is a fun, lifetime sport that all can enjoy! Join us anytime between 10am and 2pm as we learn the basics of archery and how to shoot safely, then practice your newly-learned skills under the supervision of Runge staff. All equipment will be provided.

Red Cedar is an invasive plant throughout much of Missouri. Join us at Runge as we make wreaths out of cedars that have been removed from the property to benefit the plants and animals that call Runge home.

Owl is trying to get rest. Why? Is it really good night for owl, or is owl up for the night? Join us this month to learn about Missouri owl habitats and survival senses. Meet at the nature center and drive to Arrow Rock State Historic Site in Howard County. We will be hiking the Pierre A' Fleche and River Landing Trails. The historic town should be decorated for Christmas and some stores will be open for browsing. Bring a water bottle, lunch, and dress for the weather.
