Predator hunting can be done at times of the year when other hunting seasons are closed. This introductory program will cover the basics of predator hunting and trapping. We will cover equipment needed, set-ups, and calling. Both basic as well as some advanced tactics will be covered.

If you are not familiar or comfortable with firearms, and want to learn more, this class covers various firearms, their actions, rules for safe gun handling, maintenance, cleaning and safe storage.

One of the most important aspects of having a firearm is making sure your firearm is maintained and in good working condition. We will discuss the supplies and equipment needed to properly maintain your firearms. After a discussion, you will have the opportunity to dismantle and clean pistols, rifles and shotguns. You may bring your own firearm, absolutely no ammunition.

This class covers the basic equipment, materials, and techniques needed to reload metallic cartridges and tailor the loads to your rifle and game you are pursuing. We will demonstrate the process and then give you some hands-on experience reloading rifle/handgun cartridges. All equipment is provided.

Date: Monday, February 10, 2020 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Location: August A Busch Shooting Range

This clinic is for youth age 11-15, interested in learning the skills needed for upland hunting with the emphasis on the ringneck pheasant, followed by a hunt on Saturday, February 22, 2020. The clinic is mandatory in order to attend the hunt and attendees must be hunter education certified.

Date: Monday, February 10, 2020 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Location: August A Busch Shooting Range

This clinic will teach the basics of upland hunting with emphasis on ringneck pheasants followed by a hunt on Saturday, February 15, 2020. This is for adults 18 and over who want to learn to hunt and have never purchased a small game permit. Attendees must be hunter education certified.

This program includes handgun safety, operation, shooting fundamentals, maintenance, and safe storage. Equipment and ammunition will be provided; you may bring your own firearm and ammunition to the live-fire session.

Location: August A Busch Shooting Range

Do you want to learn how to get started in shooting sports? This program will introduce .22 handgun, .22 rifle, and shotgun shooting to new shooters. We will begin in the classroom, then head out for some live fire at each of the stations.

This is an introduction program that will introduce the basics of modern firearms including how the action functions, cleaning, and maintaining the firearm.

This program includes handgun fundamentals, operation, safety, maintenance, and safe storage. We start with classroom instruction then move to the range for a live-fire session. Firearms, ammunition, and safety equipment will be provided.
