“I am Conservation”

Columbia resident Monica Lee wanted her 12-year-old nephew, Seo-Woo Kwak, to experience the Missouri outdoors, so she brought him from Seoul, South Korea, for a month-long visit. As a resident of a large urban area, Seo-Woo had only experienced squirrels and house sparrows. “It’s so great to show my nephew this wonderful nature conserved right here in Missouri,” said Lee. “We have such wonderful wildlife and flowers to show him.” —Photo by Noppadol Paothong
