This semiannually updated survey reports hunter and harvest numbers for rabbit, squirrel, quail, dove, pheasant, woodcock, crow, groundhog, raccoon, gray fox, red fox, coyote, bobcat, opossum, ducks and Canada and snow geese. New reports appear in late summer of odd-numbered years.

Larger and yellower than the eastern cottontail, the swamp rabbit is confined to swamps of Missouri’s Bootheel. As a wetland dweller, it’s a good swimmer and diver, but lack of swamp habitat is making this rabbit’s numbers decline.
