MDC Trails

Looking for a place to walk, hike, bike or ride your horse? Conservation Area trails provide recreational and educational opportunities as well as access to your conservation lands.

Some trails are disabled accessible, and foot traffic is permitted on all designated trails. Bicycling and horseback riding are allowed on designated trails in some areas.

The Missouri Department of Conservation's Adopt-A-Trail Program is a volunteer program providing opportunities for hikers, bicyclists and equestrians to assist conservation area staff by monitoring, maintaining and enhancing trails and trailhead facilities.

Pets are allowed on many Conservation Areas but they must be on a leash or confined at all times. Pets are not permitted at Nature Centers, Rockwoods Reservation, or on the trail at Engelmann Woods Natural Area.
