Conservation K-3 Field Trip Grant

This grant program distributes up to $700 to public, private or parochial educators interested in taking students on field trips related to Missouri's fish, forests, wildlife and natural habitats. This program promotes learning experiences which support science and other academic concepts being taught in the classroom. Field trips are not restricted to Conservation Department sites; however, field trip sites must be related to Missouri's fish, forests, wildlife or natural habitats.

The Discover Nature Schools program provides instructional units with activities that are hands-on, fun, and tightly aligned with Missouri's grade-level expectations. Instructional units include colorful, engaging student books as well as teacher guides. This program also offers grant opportunities for field experiences and classroom equipment related to the units as well as $500 outdoor classroom grants.

United SportsmenŐs League Wildlife Conservation Grants

This grant program is for Missouri FFA chapters who are interested in planning an on-site wildlife habitat project or exploring a collaborative effort with a local landowner. Grants up to $500 are available through competitive application. Review the guidelines for more details. If interested in applying, download and complete the application. You must consult with a resource professional in planning your project. A resource professional is any professional with expertise in wildlife habitat management. The deadline for applying for this grant is November 15, 2009.
