A native plant sale will follow the workshop.
• Burr Oak Woods hosting photo contestBLUE SPRINGS Mo -- The Missouri Department of Conservation's (MDC) Burr Oak Woods Nature Center at Blue Springs is hosting its annual photo contest. Visitors hiking the trails or walking through the woodlands and prairie take photographs through the changing seasons. This contest is a chance to publicly display pictures of landscapes, wildlife, people or events at the area.
• Mushroom expert to speak at Burr Oak WoodsMove over morels. Many different edible wild mushroom species grow in the woodlands, and author Maxine Stone can help you tell the difference between tasty versus deadly.
