Have More Fun, Make Deeper Connections

Remember when you were a kid, how the outdoors seemed mysterious, even a little scary? Maybe you had a special adult who helped you explore nature, who knew the names of plants and animals, could bait a hook, or helped you learn to handle a gun safely. We bet you can still hear his or her voice, still recall the details of those special moments of discovery and mastery.

If you'd like to be that kind of mentor for children or special child in your life, Missouri Outdoor Families is for you.

Missouri Outdoor Families programs are designed to help adults and children explore nature and master outdoor skills together.

Throughout the state, our nature and education centers have developed and identified programs that give you and your kids the chance to support each other as you learn to camp, fish, hunt or float.

Whatever your outdoor interest, you'll find something in the schedule of activities below to help you and your family have more fun and make deeper connections with nature—and each other.
